Up for sale is a very nice 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T. This car has many desirable features, including the Special Edition (SE) trim package that includes full woodgrain door panels, leather high-back bucket seats, and overhead console. Originally light metallic green with green vinyl roof, the car was professionally refinished in beautiful red with a black vinyl roof. Paint is shiny with no orange peel or other defects. This Challenger is extremely straight and clean, with no history of rust or collision damage. Never raced or abused.
The car is equipped with the 383 4-Barrel high performance engine and 727 slapstick automatic. Both are original and numbers matching. Sure Grip differential. Under 77,000 original miles, the car starts, runs and drives like new. Engine has been upgraded with electronic ignition for improved starting and driveability.
A couple of small details that would need to be addressed are a broken driver’s side mirror and a missing lens for the overhead dome light. The tachometer is currently non-functional. All other gauges and warning lights operate properly.
Overall, this Challenger is in excellent condition, and would be a great addition to any Mopar collection. Same owner for the past 20 years, the car is ready for its next home.
