1978 Ford F150 Ranger - Brand New Ford Racing 460ci V8 - 600 Miles
on Motor - 500 Horsepower - 46k Miles On The Body - Fully Custom,
Automatic Hood and Dump Bed - 40 Toyo Tires (Please note: If you

Kept Motors.) Take a close look at this big, amazing truck! Your
own real life Tonka Truck without the bright yellow paint job! This
yuuuge truck is ready for a new home, but first make sure that it
will fit in your garage. You'll definitely want to be sure this
truck is garage kept, just as our client did. Although this F-150's
styling has been kept simple and sleek, there are quite a number of
tasteful custom touches to appreciate. At first glance this truck
is simply a F-150 that has big tires, and has been lifted, but
there is more than meets the eye. We appreciate the simple styling
- no light bars, extra large bumpers, brush guards, flags, or
graphics. Glossy Black paint covers the body, which is in beautiful
condition. All trim shows really well, as well as lights, and body
panels all line up as they should. Speaking of body panels, that's
where this awesome truck gets interesting. The front end is one
piece that cantilevers forward using pneumatic motors, revealing
the chassis and engine. Again using pneumatic motors, the bed of
the truck cantilevers back - much like a Tonka truck. Just one of
the show tricks on this big rig. It's pretty easy for most folks to
inspect the exterior since it's at eye level, no crawling around on
your knees to inspect this one. If you're less than 6 feet tall,
taking a good look at the interior without climbing into the truck
or onto a ladder is more challenging. Since we've climbed up into
the interior of this giant truck we can attest to the fact that the
interior is tidy and left pretty close to how it left the factory.
An aftermarket armrest, a few auxiliary gauges, and a couple
switches are the only additions to the stock interior. Under the
hood is a 460ci V8 that has approximately 680 miles on it, with new
fluids all done 200 miles ago - including the transmission, and
both axles. The engine is fed by a Holley carburetor, and boasts a
Comp Cam, and KB pistons. The 460 is estimated to produce in the
neighborhood of 500 horsepower. Speaking of the axles, the front is
a Dana 44, while the rear is a Dana 60. BBF Headers are visible in
the wheel well, and the exhaust ends under the cab of the truck.
Among the many parts that our client added to the truck under his
ownership are: aluminum pulley kit, water pump, power steering
pump, thermostat, radiator hose, master cylinder, wheel bearings,
brake pads, oil pan, and a Proform distributor. The wheels on this
custom Ford are Centerline Scout wheels in 20x12 wrapped in Toyo 40
wheels. Our client was very meticulous with the truck, so any sort
of small issue the truck may have had was addressed immediately. A
heap of maintenance records substantiate this. Get your measuring
tape out and make sure that this big rig will fit in your garage!
This is a unique truck that is the finished product of hours and
hours of blood sweat and tears. A real truck that resembles the
looks of a Tonka Truck is just plain awesome! This truck is sure to
turn heads on the road, and once in the cab you'll have a blast
driving it! Be sure to check out all the photos and video on our
main website: Garage Kept Motors. Call if interested or e-mail with
any questions. Thank you for looking.
