For Sale: 1932 Auburn 8-100 in MANSFIELD, Ohio

Vehicle Description

The Auburn Automobile Company grew out of the Eckhart Carriage Company, founded in Auburn, Indiana, in 1874 by Charles Eckhart (1841–1915).[1] Eckhart's sons, Frank and Morris, experimented making automobiles before entering the business in earnest, absorbing two other local carmakers and moving into a larger plant in 1909. The enterprise was modestly successful until materials shortages during World War I forced the plant to close.

The subject vehicle is a 1932 Auburn Eight 100A Custom Cabriolet. Engine is a 268ci I-8 L-head 98 hp. Transmission is a 3 spd manual w/ dual ratio rear end. Mileage shows 91,423. Inner door panels show very nicely, with no notable damage observed. Windows roll up an down smoothly and easily. Chrome fascia trim above the dash shows in good condition with light tarnishing. Cigarette lighter outlet added to passenger side of the dash. Lower kick panels show some light wear and tear from age and use.
