1957 Jaguar MK1 Saloon
The original modern sports Saloon, this car has been completely restored from the ground up. Unlike most 57 Jaguar MK1’s with a 3.4-liter engine, this one has a 3.8 liter dual overhead cam power plant with dual SU carbs. The head was rebuilt 10 years ago including carb overhaul. Since the rebuild, it has only 524 miles on it.
The MK1 featured many innovations for 1957 including vacuum assist four-wheel disc brakes, Borg Warner 3 speed auto transmission, and a telescoping steering wheel.
Nearly all the bodywork was completed via “leading” as was the practice back in 1957. There is little to no Bondo here. The original burled walnut interior has been maintained, with a new custom-made console, new headliner, and all new vinyl upholstery stitched to the original design.
