Vehicle Description
1974 Lotus Europa Twin Cam 68k Original Miles - Twin Cam 1.6L
Inline4 - Lotus Yellow - Highly Original - We're excited to offer
this Lotus for your consideration. It's a highly original, uniquely
shaped, nimble, driver's car that is sure to put a smile on your
face. You'll be looking for curvy roads to carve up with this
little car. The shape of the Europa always evokes mixed feelings -
a low sleek front with sugar-scoop headlights and a boxy rear end
with simple tail lights. The very low 42 roofline is surprising and
not expected if you've never been around a Europa in person. This
particular Europa is highly original and is finished in the
original color of Lotus Yellow. The condition of the paint is a
hint of the age of the car, although it is original the paint does
show some cracking and fading. Inside the car is a simple interior
that is definitely laid out for a driver's car, there are no
distractions. Simple, leather bucket seats are comfortable and in
great condition. Wood grain dashboard with a simple grouping of
gauges also features an upgraded Pioneer stereo, and a short throw
shifter caps off the interior. Right behind the driver and
passenger seats is the 1.6L Twin Cam Inline-4 which is mated to a
4-speed manual transmission. Twin Stromberg carburetors provide an
awesome soundtrack as the engine breathes, sending you down the
road with confidence. A 1.6L inline 4 doesn't sound like much of an
engine for a sports car, but since this car comes in at under 2,000
pounds this little car is nimble and quick. Thanks to the
backbone/frame the car eats up corners and twisty roads, and once
comfortable with the car, you will search out curvy roads.
According to our research, this Lotus left the Factory the 18th of
March 1974, and made the journey over the pond to the distributor
Lotus East in Millerton New York. This unique little sports car
from the other side of the pond offers a lightweight fiberglass
body, mid engine-rear drive setup, and a simple interior. It is
highly original right down to the Lotus Yellow paint. A Lotus like
this is most definitely a car to consider adding to your
collection, especially if you appreciate British sports cars.
