Chevrolet helped usher in the new muscle car era in the 1980's and
one of the cars they brought to the table was the venerable El
Camino Super Sport. Chevy contracted with Choo Choo Customs of
Chattanooga, Tennessee to build these performance-oriented trucks.
Many companies did this with special edition vehicles in the
1980's, partnering with coachbuilders like ASC (American Sunroof
Company), Centurion, Callaway, and Choo Choo Customs, among others
to create unique vehicles that could be ordered straight from the
dealership. This 1984 example sports a powerful 350C.I. V8 engine
fitted with Mickey Thompson finned valve covers, an aluminum
Edlebrock RPM Air Gap intake, Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor,
headers, and is mated to a Turbo-Hydramatic automatic transmission
for a fun and reliable drivetrain combination. Other features of
this rad El Camino include dual sport mirrors, factory air
conditioning, power steering, power brakes, Rally wheels, and a bed
cover. Being an SS model, this one still has it's recertification
sticker from Choo Choo Customs and features the more aerodynamic
front end of the Monte Carlo SS, as well as being fitted with the
factory Superlift air shock system. Inside you'll find a
comfortable interior with a burgundy cloth bench seat, original
stereo with cassette player, and that sought-after Choo Choo
Customs dash badge. The exterior is finished in black with silver
