The car was built originally by the drag racing legend, Mickey
Thompson motorsports, in Los Angeles in 1971. It has a Cal
Automative 1923 Ford T body that is in great shape. It was built
for Merle Womack in San Francisco who raced it throughout
California for 20 years. It was known as "The Assassin" at that
time and raced as an AA/FA beating a lot of the best.
The rear end is a Ford 9 inch with 4.56 gears and Dutchman axles.
In the trunk it has two 12V batteries and a #10 refillable fire
bottle. On the interior it has a hand brakes, fire nozzle, and
tach.
At one point it made 3 passes powered by a 2,000 hp 426 hemi motor.
Well a valve hit a piston and that was that.
This is a cool piece of drag racing history that needs a new
home.
This roller could be yours for $14,500.00!
