For Sale: 1969 Chevrolet Camaro in Grand Rapids, Michigan

Vehicle Description

1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 - 302 V8 w/4 Speed Manual - Hugger Orange over Orange Houndstooth - True Z/28 - Same owner for 25 years (Please note: If you happen to be viewing this vehicle on a website other than our main website, it's possible that only some of our many photographs of this car are presented due to website limitations. To be sure you access all the photographs, please go to our main website: Garage Kept Motors.) First generation Z/28's all left Chevy production plants with a number of things in common - good looks, 302ci V8 under the hood, front power disc brakes, and a 4-speed M21 Transmission. The engine was no bigger than a 302 due to SCCA regulations stating that the engine must not be bigger than 305 cubic inches for the class that the Camaros competed in. This Z/28 left the Norwood, Ohio production plant in mid-1969 finished in Daytona Yellow, although it currently wears Hugger Orange with black stripes - the result of an older repaint. The exterior is tidy with trim, bumpers, and lights all left the way they would've been when the car rolled off the production line. The trim tag shows that the car has the D80 code which signifies that the car was equipped with spoilers. Inside the car, the familiar first generation Camaro interior that features simple bucket seats, easy to read gauges, and an easy to reach gear shifter is in very good condition. Additional features are Orange Houndstooth seats, three spoke steering wheel, factory tach, Hurst shifter, wood veneer center console, and center console mounted gauges. Under the hood we find a '69 Z/28 correct 'DZ' coded 302ci V8 mated to a 4-speed transmission. The engine was rebuilt and balanced and blueprinted about 15k miles ago. The car sounds great and runs strong, it's truly fun to drive. A Hurst shifter has been added to the transmission making shifting a little smoother. Whether bringing this Z28 to car shows, or just driving the car on the streets, the Z/28 Camaro you see here is turn key, and ready to enjoy. Make some room in your garage for this classic American competition car. Be sure to check out all the photos and video on our main website: Garage Kept Motors.
