This is a 1940 Chevy Master Deluxe converted to a Drag Car. It started out as a street rod and I converted it to a race car. Engine is a 350 cu.in. small block Chevy, 4 bolt main, steel crank, 13:1 compression, Brodix aluminum heads, Chet Herbert hydraulic roller cam. Edelbrock manifold with a Holley 4 barrel, 750cfm race carburetor. Mezirere electric water pump, MSD ignition. This has a nitrous oxide system which has never been used. Transmission is a Turbo 400 with a 4,000rpm stall speed with a Hurst ratchet shifter. Rear end is a Ford 9", full spool, built by Currie Enterprises. 4 Link suspension by Chris Alston Chassis. Rear end gears are 4:56 with 4 wheel disc brakes. Rear tires are Mickey Thompson slicks, 10 x 15 mounted on 8" wide Cragar SS wheels. Front wheels are 4" wide Cragar SS wheels with 155x15 tires.
This was a body off restoration project. Car has approximately 18-20 runs on it. I did not do competitive racing, but ran only for fun and ET. Car has run 11.70 at 115mph in the quarter mile.
Trunk area has a JAZ 12 gallon gas tank, 2 Holley electric fuel pumps, nitrous bottle and battery.
Car can be converted back to a street rod without too much work. Body is straight, paint is good. Rear fenders have been welded into the body for a smooth look. Front end is fiberglass and one piece to make engine work easier. I replaced exterior hinges with interior hinges on doors and trunk lid. Front window and rear window are stock glass. Front window has been V butted. Side windows are plexiglass.
Interior has 10 point roll cage and VDO gauges, Hurst Line Loc and Trans brake.
Car is registered in California until January 2021. Title is clear and is not salvaged.
Above mileage on odometer states 1,090. This is the accurate mileage since car was put together.
Truck, trailer and car can be sold as a package for $35,000.. Truck is a 1991 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 (3/4 ton) extended cab and 8 foot bed. 454 cu.in. motor with a 4L60E automatic transmission Truck has 160,000 original miles and is in good mechanical running order. Trailer is custom made for this car. It has 5 new wheels, tires and a 5,000lb winch.
