For Sale: 1951 Chevrolet 3100 in KATY, Texas

Vehicle Description

Every aspect of this 5 window Chevy 3100 complete frame up restoration has been meticulously planned to ensure a clean and custom look with all the modern amenities and reliability while retaining just the right amount of the original styling to make it a timeless classic.

The midnight blue pearl paint appears as though you could fall into it and the engine compartment is completed with the same finish on every surface including the custom inner fenders, radiator cover and firewall.  The modernized chassis and drive train make this an absolute treat to cruise in with enough get up and go to surprise anyone off the line plus the reliability to drive across the country without worry.

In line with the rest of the build the interior was planned to keep the original look but with subtle modern upgrades such as memory foam seating surfaces, push button start, power locks, Vintage Air, Dakota Digital gauges and a hidden bluetooth stereo system.  Even kept the window cranks just to keep the look.  The build was completed almost 1 year ago with about 700 miles clocked so far sufficiently testing all systems.

A 5.3 Liter GM LS V8 has been moderately upgraded with a Brian Tooley Racing stage 3 cam and painted with high temp ceramic Chevy orange paint to keep it looking perfect for years.  To keep it looking extremely clean a fully custom hidden engine wiring harness was built with the PCU hidden under seat and upgraded valve covers were used to hide the coil packs under retro styled ‘Chevrolet’ valve covers.

Core support was upgraded to lower the radiator and strengthen the front clip to remove the requirement for engine compartment supports.  A RND Fabrication custom radiator with a large high flow cooling fan controlled by a Dakota Digital fan controller was used to keep all cool, even in the Texas summer heat.

Sanderson ceramic coated headers and custom all stainless exhaust including Magnaflow mufflers and electric cutouts with actuation from in cab.

4L60E Transmission upgraded with Corvette servo, solenoids with Circle D 3200 stall torque converter perfectly matched to the engine and painted black with high temp ceramic paint like the engine.

Rear end is a Chevy 10 bolt with 3.36 gears and Eaton posi-traction painted to match the transmission.

The frame has been completely modernized boxing in the front and back portions and welding in TCI’s Custom Independent Front suspension and Multilink Rear system with all for corners on Ridetech adjustable coil overs.  The entire chassis and all components have been powder coated black.

Hidden dual diaphragm under floor brake booster with Wilwood disc brake setup front and back with proportioning valve, all stainless brake lines, AN fittings and thru frame connectors for a super clean and reliable install.

All aluminum fuel tank with in-tank electric fuel pump relocated to rear under box location.

Vintage Air custom install with hoses hidden in fender wells and controls installed on custom dash panel run along the bottom of the dash.

Bed finished in red oak stained to match interior with satin clear finish and polished stainless bed strips with hidden fasteners.  Inner side box mounts were removed and welded back on in a lowered position so the wood sits on top for a cleaner look.  The fuel cap is completely concealed with a custom hidden fuel door with electric actuation from in cab.

Custom metal work includes smoothed and bead rolled firewall, custom inner fenders, core support cover, floors with transmission tunnel, tucked bumpers with customer fillers, dash including radio filler and lower bezel, bed modifications and one piece side window conversion.

Altman door latch conversion welded into doors improves latching for added safety and security.

All new tinted glass, gaskets and trim.

Custom interior completed in brown and tan bonded leather, german square weave carpet with all trim freshly chromed.  The entire interior has been covered in sound deadening dynamat and then with a high density foam insulation on all outer surfaces of the cab.

Infinity blue tooth hidden amp/stereo system with 9 speakers.

All electronics mounted on an aluminum panel and hidden under the seat making it more reliable and easily accessible including Engine PCM, Ron Francis fuse panel, Digital Guard Dawg PBS-II keyless push button start, Infinity blue tooth amplifier/stereo, Dakota Digital gauge controls, electric fan controller, door locks and electric cut out controllers.

Wheels are beautiful Coys C5 rims wrapped in Hankook Ventus V12 Evo2’s. 18’s in the front and 20’s in the back.
