Vehicle Description
When it comes down to tuner Mustangs, no other name stands as tall
as Jack Roush. The cars (and engines) bearing his name represent
the pinnacle of Blue Oval performance, something demonstrated in
excellent form by this 2007 Ford Mustang GT Outlaw Edition. It
shows just under 10,000 original miles and remains in as-delivered
condition in virtually every way, making it one heck of a bargain
compared to just about anything you'd buy today.
If you're going to have the nastiest, fastest Mustang on the block,
why not paint it bright Torch Red? By 2007, the Roush cars were
fully developed and highly sought-after, especially when put
together with limited edition productions like this Outlaw. Ford
Dealerships in the Southwestern US wanted a promotional car to
boost interest in the 5th generation Mustangs, much like the
California Specials of old, so the GT Outlaw Edition was developed
with Roush and delivered to the top dealers in the region. These
rare cars were very special, and included unique features like
limited colors (Torch Red was a fan favorite), dual stripes, a
functional hood scoop, a Roush spoiler, blacked-out alloys, and
those cool 'Outlaw' decals on the hood. On top of that, every
Outlaw was a GT coupe first, so you got all the bells and whistles
of that slick design as well. Up front there's a blacked-out grille
equipped with dual fog lights and a 'Pony' emblem, ground effects
encircle the bottom, and out back you got cut outs for twin pipes
and a sporty GT gas cap that looks like it was borrowed from a
Shelby. Of course, with so few miles, this one is almost like new
in every way that matters, with a fantastic shine on the paint,
beautiful factory panel fit, and very little evidence that it's
ever been driven on the street. This is still a car that can make
other muscle cars run and hide.
The interior is standard Mustang equipment, but in 2007, that was
definitely a good thing. The vintage-themed pony car delivers big
comfort with sporty bucket seats wrapped in comfortable light gray
leather, a big three-spoke steering wheel, and bright digital
gauges inside deep, chrome-ringed pods that monitor all the car's
vitals. Everything was standard equipment, including A/C, power
windows, locks, and mirrors, a tilt wheel, cruise control, and a
thumping Shaker AM/FM/CD stereo system that can still compete with
the rumbling exhaust note. Everything is super clean, and despite a
few imperfections in the door skins (a common Ford Mustang issues
from this era), almost everything looks untouched inside. And this
Mustang is also practical, offering a deep, flat trunk that has
plenty of room for your golf clubs or overnight bags.
Ford's highly developed 4.6 liter V8 makes big power in the GT,
delivering 300 ponies with a very healthy torque curve to which
Americans have become accustomed. In first, it's hard to keep the
tires hooked up, and the car lunges forward in any gear with a prod
of the throttle, delivering that very distinctive Mustang bellow.
Given how easy it is to modify these cars and the prevalence of
aftermarket speed parts, it's remarkable to find one like this that
still has all its factory equipment intact, right down to the air
filter. The engine bay is spotless, not over-detailed, but showing
very few signs of use, indicative of a lightly used and expertly
maintained car. All the proper decals are still intact, so if
you're the kind of guy who likes preserving that kind of stuff for
the future, this car is an excellent foundation. The 5-speed
automatic slips through the gears easily, and with a tall overdrive
cruises at ridiculous speeds. Four-wheel discs with ABS, traction
control, and other electronic aids make it vastly safer than any
previous Mustang, and those gorgeous 18-inch black Outlaw wheels
are part of the package and look fantastic on this red car,
especially wrapped in high-performance BFGoodrich G-Force T/A
radials.
Documented with Roush and Outlaw documentation, the original
owner's manuals, and maintenance records, this spotless 2-owner
Roush delivers big performance that's still a bargain in today's
world. Call now!
