This 1967 International Travelall is a very cool vehicle and very
hard to find this body style in this original condition. This is
probably the cleanest original paint Travelall of this vintage
around. It is just amazing how solid this truck is. We were told
the mileage is original, and although we did not get documentation,
based on the condition we believe it is. This rig was originally
purchased by the State of Montana in 1967 and it was sold to a
private party in September of 1977. These folks drove it for a year
and the water-pump started leaking so they parked it until 2 years
ago. At that time it was sold to the gentleman we purchased it
from. He was a Service Manager for an Automotive Shop and he went
through everything mechanical to make it a great running and
driving truck. There are a lot of upgrades he did and we will try
to detail all of them.
The body on this Travelall is amazing in our opinion. It still
appears to have all of the original paint so there is nothing
hidden. A lot of cool patina and character. The Omaha Orange paint
shined up really well. The last owner also cleaned the underside,
inside body panels, and engine bay. He treated the certain parts of
the underside and inside body panels with POR-15 and undercoating
to prevent any future body rust. He did leave the original factory
undercoating untouched to show that it was a solid vehicle. The
interior is in really nice condition and was selectively restored.
It has newer carpet, newer headliner, and the seats are newly
reupholstered with Carhartt Duck Canvas. The interior was removed
and the floors were completely washed, cleaned, and coated with
POR-15. They also added sound deadener at that time. All of the
gauges, lights, heater fan, and wipers work. Horn does not
work.
Mechanically this Traveall is top notch! It has the original 345 V8
that was tuned up and runs great! The transmission is the original
4 Speed Manual (Borg Warner T-19) mated to a np205 Divorced
Transfer Case. The engine has a new water-pump, new frost plugs,
rebuilt original carb, new exhaust manifold gaskets, new valve
cover gaskets. The engine runs excellent!! The axles were upgraded
to 3/4 Ton Chevy Axles. The rear is a Corporate 14 Bolt and the
front is a DANA 44. They both have 4.10 gears and were gone
through. Consequently the braking system was upgraded to Disc
Brakes on the front along with new Master Cylinder and Brake Hoses.
U joints are new, ball joints are new, and he added a full front
high-steer setup. There are new fluids all around. Her also added a
new 4 Inch Skyjacker Lift done right with corrected driveline
angles and new shocks all around. Power Steering was also added
with new Redhead steering gear and reinforced the frame. The fuel
tank was removed, cleaned, and added new lines and hoses. It is all
sitting on a newer set of BFG All terrains (285/75/16).
This truck runs and drives much better than it did in 1967 and
still has that cool original look. It cruises down the road at 70
nicely. We drive what we sell so that we can give you a first hand
and accurate report on how the vehicle runs and drives. Our
pictures are never touched up or photoshopped. What you see is an
accurate representation of the vehicle. We take consistent pictures
and show you everything so you can get a true representation of the
vehicle.
