automatic--two more gears than the outgoing ZF transmission behind
the 4.6-liter. The Equus shares its roots with the Genesis sedan,
but the larger sedan has been extended 7.2 inches. The 2012 Equus
rides on an electrically controlled air suspension with sport and
normal settings, plus electronic parking assist. Its leather and
wood-appointed interior is larger overall than the Lexus LS 460 and
within a few inches of the Mercedes S-Class. The Equus offers
comparable headroom and legroom to both the aforementioned
executive models. HD Radio, satellite radio, and iPod integration
are optional as is a 7.1 surround sound system with a 13-channel
