Vehicle Description
1972 CHEVY CHEYENNE C-10 SHORT-BED "PRO-STREET" TRUCK
We just acquired this "BAD-ASS OVER THE TOP" built C-10 truck from
a longtime friend who builds nothing but "BAD-ASS OVER THE TOP" car
& trucks !! He completed this build in 2007 but has only driven it
1300 miles since then and it is still like "BRAND NEW" CHECK IT OUT
!!
This truck has an all original body except for the mini-tubs and
steel cowl hood. It was completely stripped and disassembled, put
on a rotisserie and media blasted clean. Everything was replaced
new on the chassis using the best parts money could buy. The
floors, bed & frame are all perfect and in like new condition
painted satin black. The firewall and bed were smoothed and the
body was masterfully fitted and professionally painted in 2 stage
base/clear using PPG's "Diamond Black" & "Platinum Silver" paint
which was then wet sanded and buffed to a slick, smooth deep luster
and polished to a show car shine. It is absolutely gorgeous !! A
new custom billet grill was installed along with all new glass,
chrome, trim & weather stripping too. The interior was fitted with
Procar bucket seats and a custom console/center seat was added as
well as 3 point safety belts
This beast is powered by a"PUMP GAS" 509 c.i - 540 h.p. Merlin big
block bought and tuned from Hard-Core racing and is "NO JOKE" It
hits {sounds} hard as nails and runs super strong !
All that horsepower is backed by a custom built TCI TH-400
automatic transmission with a 3500 rpm stall convertor and B&M
shifter and a 12 bolt rear with a Eaton posi unit & 3:73 gears.
OTHER FEATURES INCLUDE:
power steering, 4 wheel power disc brakes, new front & rear
suspension with KYB shocks at all 4 corners, new stainless steel
fuel & brake lines, new custom polished fuel tank and Aero-quipped
fuel system, March serpentine pulley system, Afco aluminum
radiator, Covans custom instrument cluster with Autometer gauges,
Retro stereo, custom 3" mandrel bent Flowmaster exhaust, new 15"
Weld forged wheels with Hoosier radial rear tires and as a bonus we
have a Vintage a/c unit that goes with the truck that needs to be
installed.
We were told that there was just over $100k invested in the build.
It has won many, many car shows and it absolutely runs, rides &
drives every bit as nice as it looks!!
