1967 CHEVELLE SS CONVERTIBLE "RESTO-MOD"- NEW "GROUND-UP"
RESTORATION
Fresh out of our restoration shop is the stunning 1967 Chevelle
SS396 Convertible
We purchased this car from a longtime owner who had spent big buck$
on it's engine, transmission & rear as well as the brakes, steering
& suspension. He also replaced the white convertible top and the
white bucket seat interior too. Actually, the car had nice Marina
Blue paint and a straight & solid body but... it had "OLD SKOOL"
rear 1/4 fender flairs which may have been cool back in the
70's/80's but now-a-day,they had to go !! As soon as we got it in
our shop we immediately took the car apart, stripped it down and
sent it off the our metal shop to have both rear 1/4 panels, drop
off's and outer wheel houses replaced. Then we sent it off to our
body shop to be fitted, block sanded and painted in PPG's "Marina
Blue" using 2 stage base/clear. We then cut, buffed & polished it
to a show car shine. We also replaced the chrome & trim and all of
the weather stripping too. As mentioned, the white convertible top
was recently replaced and is in like new condition as well as the
beautiful white bucket seat interior. This beautiful car is powered
by a G.M.P.P. 502c.i. - 502h.p. crate engine that runs super strong
& sounds awesome. It is backed up by a rebuilt M-22 (ROCK CRUSHER)
4 speed transmission with Hurst shifter and 12 bolt posi-traction
rear with 3:73 gears. Other features include, 4 wheel power disc
brakes, quick ratio power steering, tubular upper & lower control
arms, fat front sway bar, solid rear track control bars, 18" front
& 20" rear chrome US MAG U110 wheels, in-dash gauges with blinker
tach, factory wood steering wheel, retro sound stereo, Hooker Super
Comp big tube headers w/ 3" Flow Master dual exhaust, serpentine
pulley system, aluminum radiator and lots more !!
This car is absolutely gorgeous and it runs and drives even better
then it looks !!
