Vehicle Description
STK 2804 1960 Chevrolet Biscayne
Our current owner has been the curator of this 1960 Biscayne for
over 23 years and it is a great example of one of Chevrolet's
best-selling family sedans of the early '60s. A careful partial
restoration has been performed and the Biscayne presents very well.
A two-stage re-spray of Tasco Turquoise and Ermine White has been
applied to the straight and true sedan body. Look at the photos -
the rear lighting package was upgraded to the 'Impala' trim format
- 3 lights per side. Looks great. The refreshed interior was
reupholstered with gray cloth/vinyl that is very similar to the
original fabric. The factory AM radio is in the dash, but it is
currently inoperative. Power is furnished by a 235ci 'Stovebolt'
straight-six that produces 135bhp. The owner states that the engine
has never required a rebuild and it sounds strong. Torque is
delivered to a factory differential by a 3-speed manual
transmission w/column shifter. The chassis is equipped with manual
steering and manual 4-wheel drum brakes. GM Rally Wheels w/center
caps and trim rings mount new radial tires. Overall, this Biscayne
is very much the same classic sedan that was delivered in 1960 - a
rare piece of bowtie history. ALL VEHICLES SOLD "AS IS".
