If you have ever considered a Mopar B Body that rolled out of the factory at the summit of the Muscle car era, this is the way you want it built, right here!
This 1970 Dodge Coronet Super bee retains all of its intimidating factory looks and muscle car-appeal, but has been upgraded in all of the right places to make this Mopar a strong, updated, easy to drive vintage piece of Muscle car history.
Originally a big block 383 4 bbl, the power plant has been moved up to an ultra-strong, reliable, freshly rebuilt and balanced 440 CID V8 topped with the ever-desirable 6-pack carburetor set up. Full roller cam, aluminum heads, and intake manifold, ceramic coated headers, electronic ignition, sets this over-achieving big block in the 600+ horsepower range. You better believe the engine and drive train in this Super bee is all business. If you think I'm exaggerating, hit the switch under the dash to open the exhaust cutouts, and that’ll make you a believer!
You don't need to be concerned about overheating either as the old pulley fan and steel radiator has been replaced with a thermostatically controlled electric fan, and a new aluminum radiator that would cool down a battleship!
Of course the clutch is new, and the transmission slides into whatever gear you want with ease, and the rebuilt Sure-grip (posi) differential with 3.23:1 gear ratio means you can drive this mean Super bee down the freeway at most any speed.
Switching gears for a moment (pun intended), it's not always about the initial performance. What I mean is, this Super bee has a beautiful, clean, shiny base/coat, clear/coat (original) Rally Red finish, along with a clean restored interior, new reliable wiring system, upgraded brakes, and vintage style Rally (Magnum) wheels.
So, you see, if you're on the hunt for a nice investment in a vintage Mopar, but you would like something you can enjoy driving to a car show, hitting a cruise-in, or just being your own one-person car show wherever you decide to go, and have the confidence of reliability, this 1970 Dodge Super bee would make a very fine choice!
