Vehicle Description
This 1951 Ford Custom 2 Door Convertible is a great example of the
1951 "Shoebox" Ford convertible that looks as good as it drives.
The original 239 Cubic Inch Ford Flathead engine has been detailed
with chrome accents and features some nice performance upgrades.
This '51 Ford has a dual 2-barrel carburetors (2 x 2 bbl) set up
that works great along with a set of Aluminum H.P. heads and dual
exhaust. 1951 was the first year for the Ford-O-Matic Transmission
and this particular Shoebox Ford has a Ford-O-Matic Automatic
Transmission, an $159 option at the time. The tan canvas
convertible top is in great shape and with the top down, the
matching tan boot snaps into place giving the car its great open
look. This Shoebox Ford is finished in a beautiful dark blue paint
that is in wonderful condition. With the wide whitewall radials and
correct Ford script hubcaps and beauty ring this car runs out well.
The interior on this classic Ford is in nice shape as well. The tan
leather bench seat interior shows very well and is comfortable for
anyone to drive or ride. The dash and steering wheel appear to be
stock and are in very nice shape as well. Original instrumentation
and radio makes this Shoebox Ford a true 50's car. This is a true
American classic that will look great in anyone's driveway or car
collection.
