Vehicle Description
This woody wagon has a long history in Southern California, is rust
free and has been well maintained by a series of loving owners.
This rare Super Deluxe was believe to be previously owned by Dan
Blocker (known as Hoss Cartwright in the Bonanza TV show) and
displays an original Santa Ana Drag Strip sticker (now John
Wayne/SNA airport). The current owner has owned it since the early
1980's and has carefully maintained it , recent work includes: new
tires, rebuilt brake system, and rebuilt engine. The woody is
equipped with a 3 speed floor shift sourced from a 1939 Lincoln
Zephyr, original AM radio, 3 bench seats, original wood, dual
exhaust, fog lights, spot lights, windshield visor, and period
correct picnick basket. The dash board is in excellent condition
with all gauges operating, equipped with working turn signals, high
and low beam headlights. The glass is all excellent and crack free
and windows operate properly. The interior upholstery is also in
excellent condition with no signs of wear. The carpet is in fair
condition and shows some wear but is presentable. The performance
of the wagon is excellent: it starts easily and runs coolly, it
accelerates well, gear shifts smooth and direct, clutch is strong
with no slipping. At speed the wagon handles well with no wheel
shimmy or wander, under braking it goes straight and predictably.
Overall, this is a high level original driver quality car that has
been well maintained without loosing its original patina. This car
is consigned by a motivated seller , is exempt from California smog
requirements, comes with a clean and clear California title.
