Vehicle Description
This 1981 Chevrolet Corvette finished its restoration in the summer
of 2020. That means it's not only a nicely-priced V8 classic sports
car, but also this loaded machine has a freshness you're going to
love.
The final years of the C3 Corvette are some of the sportiest of the
bunch. The urethane front and rear allowed the style to flow from
bumper to bumper. And this example really loves to showcase that,
because the recent respray of the original classic white delivers
an excellent gloss and shine. So the sunshine loves to deliver
extra definition to the sporty long lines of the hood, crisp fender
tops, wide fender flares, and the well-integrated full-width rear
spoiler. It all makes for quite an attractive car when it just
comes fresh off a restoration. And because there has been a recent
investment in quality, you really see the difference, right down to
the details. So the polished wheels have the look of a recent
shine, and the hidden headlights have new vacuum lines for a
confident action.
The interior retains its original camel color, and so it looks
great against the exterior white paint. Plus, there was a nice
investment in new Ultraleather seats, fresh carpeting, and taut
door panels. It makes this a particularly nice place to spend some
time. It has nice features like power windows, cruise control, an
updated AM/FM digital tuner w/cassette, rear defrost, and ice-cold
R134a air conditioning. And of course, the T-tops are always a
great way to enjoy the open road. The leather wrapped steering
wheel is mounted on a tilt/telescope column, and it offers a
terrific view of the large speedo and tach. And all the auxiliary
gauges are mounted high in the center of the dash so you can keep
an eye on everything.
Under the hood is the numbers-matching 350 cubic-inch V8 with
correct Quadrajet four-barrel carburetor on top. It has the right
look of originality everywhere from the dual snorkel air intake to
the factory decals. The way the motor fires up tell you they spent
time on this during the restoration. In fact, the investment also
went into making sure this was an all-around great driver. That
included a full inspection of the motor and three-speed
transmission, the driveshaft was blueprinted and balanced, new
brake rotors and pads, new front and rear shocks, new power
steering pump, and a new master cylinder. So you have a solid
foundation that works with the fully independent suspension,
four-wheel power brakes, and wide Cooper Cobra tires to deliver a
classic that feels confident every time you take it out.
Complete with build receipts, service manuals, and the owner's
manual, this is the shining white classic with all the right
features. So at a price like this, you know you need to call
today!
