Vehicle Description
This 1972 Pontiac Firebird has a red-hot look, and as you dig
deeper, you'll also find the right mix of originality and upgrades.
Plus, this affordable V8 coupe will always have a story to
tell.
A red Firebird like this has star power, and since this is
Nashville, this coupe was even used in the music video for Josh
Turner's Firecracker song. And while that will always be cool part
of this car's legend, this one has a lot more going for it, too.
The red paint was an upgrade later in life, and so it retains a
nice gloss and shine today. And the way the body panels fit will
make you show this one off with pride. We also know you love the
sporty attitude. The twin scoop Formula hood is a great upgrade to
put an aggressive face forward, and the full-width rear spoiler
gives this a racecar look. Plus, the addition of bright American
Racing Torq Thrust wheels are a timeless attention-getter.
The dark saddle interior looks great against the exterior red. This
factory-correct color was treated to a nice refresh with newer seat
covers, dash pad, and headliner. It's a nice place to spend some
time, especially if you like the look of a vintage 1970s machine.
That's why it retains all the right factory pieces, including the
wood-like trim and Delco AM radio that's there for display. This
was even a factory air conditioning car (will need servicing to
blow cold again.) Bucket seats, an armrest center console, a
three-spoke steering wheel on a tilt column, and proper gauges are
all about a driver-oriented package that makes it easy to enjoy
this classic Pontiac.
Just like the rest of the car, the engine bay goes for a stock
style with a little extra flair. This is a date-correct replacement
Pontiac 350 cubic-inch V8 looking good with a clean blue block and
plenty of polish on the valve covers, alternator, and air topper.
It even shows the right maintenance with newer pieces like the
hoses, master cylinder, brake booster and water outlet. The V8
inhales deeply with a Rochester Quadrajet four-barrel carburetor
and makes a nice tune out of the dual exhaust. This is built to be
a classic you can drive, and so that's why you have nice features
like the three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, power
brakes w/discs up front, and modern Firestone Firehawk tires.
This star power Pontiac also comes complete with some nice
paperwork, including a reproduction window sticker, owner's manual,
and PHS documentation. But the most amazing part of the sharp
Firebird is that you don't have to spend big to take this one home.
