For Sale: 1915 Maxwell 25 Touring Sedan in Morgantown, Pennsylvania
Before your eyes is a mostly complete 1915 Maxwell 25 Touring
Sedan. The body presents with very little rust, an is a candidate
for a full blown restoration because of this. Wooden 30" wheels are
on all 4 corners but the tires are long gone. We note the top frame
is with the car but needs fully replaced. Under the hood is a
185.5ci inline 4-cylinder engine, made by Maxwell, and producing
21hp. Behind the engine is a 3-speed manual transmission and a rear
axle with 3.58 gears. Leafspring suspension is on both ends and
mechanical drum brakes are hung on the rear axle. The interior,
while complete needs a through restoration. However, both front and
rear seats are present as are floorboards. 2 items worth mentioning
are factory options...electric start and electric headlights. A
well-built car worthy of a restoration. The serial number on the ID
plaque is 23870. Please note this car is sold on a Bill of Sale
only.
