EXTERIOR: Factory code 71-71: Lemans blue upper and lower, no
vinyltop. Stand next to the car on a sunny day and it's gorgeous.
Look at it under the garage lights, it's not a show quality finish.
It is glossy but has imperfections. The body is impressive. Overall
the car is straight, it's smooth all along the bottom. I don't see
any rust or damage. It has original 1/4 panels. The SS stripes on
the hood and trunk are painted on. Upfront the bumper is new, the
grill is good original. The mirrors are new, door handles are
original. In back the tail lights and bumper look new. The
stainless moldings are original so they have some dents and
scratches. Chrome grills on the SS hood are new. Door jambs are
good, the weatherstrips are soft. It has a set of polished 15 inch
American Racing Torque Thrust wheels with BF Goodrich tires, extra
fat in the back.
INTERIOR: Good condition. The rear seat is original and very nice.
The front seat is reupholstered with aftermarket covers. The
carpets look recent, door panels are good. New cushion grip
steering wheel. It is a factory air conditioned cars that does have
the vents and controls inside.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: This is where it gets good. It has one healthy
454 motor. It had a performance rebuild. High performance cam with
a remote pump and reservoir to create more vacuum. It has a set of
headers, Edelbrock Torker intake with a giant dual feed Holley
carb. It has the perfect muscle car idle, it is very snappy when
you goose it. It has a gel cell battery bolted down with a shut off
switch. New horns in front. The radiator, clutch fan and shroud
look new. Has polished radiator cap and chrome cover. It features
power steering and the power brake system looks new.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: I'm really impressed with the trunk floor, it
has no patches or rust whatsoever. Those are the factory quarter
panels, looked and could not find any seams or splices. The jamb
has clean factory spot welds and seams.
UNDERSIDE: Ball joints and shocks look very recent. Looking up at
the motor it's clean. The fuel pump looks new, has a high torque
starter. It has a TCI Turbo 400 automatic with a finned aluminum
pan. In back the shocks look new. It has a 12-bolt rear end with a
chrome cover and posi gears. The rear end is original, coded for a
69 Chevelle with a 396. The dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers
sounds wicked. It has disc brakes in front.
Sharp looking, incredible sounding. Solid body with desirable
color. Not pristine but will certainly make an exciting driver that
will still get compliments.
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for
virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant
amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my
professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure
your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do
a walk around video that explains the car's condition in
detail.
