1 owner with 12,509 actual miles! #120 of only 201 Firehawks made
total in 1993! Listed in the registry. If you were one of the few
that knew to order option R6V on the Formula, than you got the
highest performance available. More hp then a Trans Am. It also
came at a cost of about $6,000. They were taken right off the GM
assembly line and shipped 10 miles away to SLP (Street Legal
Performance) for the Firehawk performance and cosmetic
upgrades.
EXTERIOR: SLP installed the light weight composite hood with
functional ram air scoops. They also wanted to make sure the car
was identifiable by labeling it with bold yellow Firehawk script in
4 places. Each car was also given special 17 inch wheels with
Firehawk center caps. They were also given high speed rated
Firestone Firehawk tires. The body is in pristine condition with
absolutely no rust, damage or dents. The paint is claimed to be all
original and it looks it. It's smooth and slick all the way around.
There are some chips on the lower front rubber bumper. The
taillight lenses and all the glass are crystal clear. The rubber
window seals and weather strips are soft and look new. The door
jambs are mint and still has the factory stickers including the SLP
sticker. It has key-less entry.
INTERIOR: 100% original condition in very good shape. I only found
1 flaw, a cigarette burn in the rear seat. It's not a smoked in car
though, the lighter and ashtrays were never used. Otherwise the
upholstery is excellent, the cloth headliner is not drooping down,
the plastic is excellent with no cracks. Even the carpet and
original mats are excellent. Features include power windows, locks
and mirrors. A premium stereo with CD changer and equalizer. It has
cruise control, rear defog, steering wheel controls and of course
a/c. There is plaque on the console indicating this is car number
102. In the glove box it has the owner's pouch with the manuals,
pre-delivery inspection, plastic key and even the original
salesman's card!
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: SLP treated the LT-1 350 multi port injected
motor to a 25 hp increase by installing the Corvette cold air
induction. Everything is completely stock and looks like it did at
the factory right down to the stickers. Of course the battery was
replaced.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: The rear hatch opens with the remote or a button
on the dash. It's in excellent condition.
UNDERSIDE: It looks practically new. Still shows assembly line
markings. All the components still have their factory finishes,
nothing's ever been spray painted over. The under-body is mint.
Still shows factory gray primer and the factory red over-spray.
Stainless exhaust pipe with converter leads to it's transverse
muffler with special Firehawk tips. Bottom of the motor is clean.
First year of the 4L60 overdrive automatic trans. It has a 3.23
posi in back. It also has ride and handling package. Disc brakes at
all four wheels.
The 1980s were a pathetic decade in muscle car history. The 1990s
started to see a revival with the Firehawk, although it was in
extremely low production. 250 orders were taken and only 201 were
fulfilled. This is an investment grade car- rare, original,
desirable and holds a chapter in the muscle car history story.
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for
virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant
amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my
professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure
your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do
a walk around video that explains the car's condition in
detail.
