HIGHLIGHTS: Nice, affordable "Day Two" style 1954 Bel Air! This
older restoration has held up well, and still looks great.
BODY OVERVIEW: Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and some
aspects of this Bel Air will take some enthusiasts a few moments to
appreciate.This car looks to have been restored in the past, and
when it was done she must've been top notch! While there's some
signs of age and use showing, the body is very straight and those
'54 Chevy curves are still prominent.
PAINT CONDITION OVERVIEW: Much like the body, the paint is showing
some age. This is certainly not new paint, but it still has a nice
shine to it. The blue is striking but not overbearing, and really
accents the curves of the body.
INTERIOR CONDITION OVERVIEW: The interior looks to be the same age
as the rest of the repairs this vehicle has received, and has held
up well over time. It was certainly put together by someone who
knew what they were doing! The blue interior looks great with the
blue exterior, and sitting behind the wheel of this car instantly
takes you back to the 1950s.
MECHANICAL OVERVIEW: Under the hood, this car has a lot to offer!
While it is nothing fancy, it does have some nice mild upgrades,
including a Clifford intake manifold, Wayne valve cover, as well as
being converted to a 12-volt system with an alternator rather than
a generator. It runs well, and this little inline six has a fun,
buzzy sound to it! Plus, front disc brakes ensure it'll stop in no
time.
WHAT YOU'LL LOVE ABOUT THIS CAR: The unique look, and how well it
has held up since it was restored.
WHAT YOU MIGHT HATE ABOUT THIS CAR: The lack of a V8, power
steering, A/C, and the fact that it has a 3-speed column shifter
may turn some off. We think that's part of the appeal!
DOES IT NEED ANYTHING? If you're looking for a driver, it does not!
A new hubcap and maybe a tune-up and she's ready to go.
