HornsThe 1966 DeVille was a large luxurious Cadillac with no
primary competition that could easily carry six people and featured
a large 429/340HP V8 engine. These were the final years of the rear
wheel drive Cadillac and amongst the best of the breed. The 1965
redesign brought handsome new curved sided styling amd a stronger
new full perimeter frame replacing the old X-member affair, with
better engine mounts, a new four link rear suspension and the
improved Turbo Hydramatic drive transmission with the result being
two of Cadillac's best sales years ever! With these rare
mid-sixties models becoming increasingly thinned out now, these
particular 1965-66 year models are now being appreciated by
Cadillac enthusiasts more than ever before as an increasingly
desirable and collectible and very rare Cadillac from two of its
best years ever!This particular example is very rare and unique
with its original 'Crystal Firemist' (color code 22) color which
has been professionally repainted only once and beautifully in it's
original factory color paint, it's original 'Dark Green leather'
(Trim Code 371) seats replaced with brand new 'Dark Green'
'Hi-Grade' leather seats and still retaining its original Green
color new leather dashboard, new Green carpets and trim and
original 'Dark Green' color (Code 4) new power soft top.The car has
all new paint, interior and a Dark Green power soft top with a
glass rear window and it's original matching Dark Green parade
tonneau cover. Its original spare wheel, jack and original trunk
compartment interior is all still all intact as in 1966! The floor
boards, trunk and all the typical rust-prone areas are completely
solid and rust-free and the car has had no signs of any accidents -
obviously an always garaged and cherished southern California car
since new which still boasts its original black license plates,
owner's manual, Protecto-plate amp; Cadillac accessories brochure!
It was sold to its original southern California owner at 'Marvin K.
Brown Cadillac' of San Diego, California on 11/3/1965 and has been
garage kept in southern California its whole life.The car has it's
original matching # 429/340HP V8 engine with only 90K undocumented
but original miles, as stated from the long time previous
California owner, which are very believable once the car is seen!
The engine is extremely strong and powerful and sounds absolutely
magnificent and the transmission shifts smoothly through the
gears.This particular car drives absolutely magnificently - it must
really be seen and driven to be fully appreciated - does not miss a
beat and purrs like a kitten - drives straight as an arrow with no
