Vehicle Description
1941 Chevrolet Custom Coupe
BONUS: Comes with open car trailer
One of the most unique looking classics built has to be the 1941
Chevrolet. From the fenders to that cool front grill the car just
has a look like it needed to be made a street rod! Chevrolet was
rapidly changing the appearance of their cars in these years moving
to a different headlight set up in 1941 where they were inset into
the fenders. This was a big change at that time and they never
looked back with subsequent cars having the same style.
The very nicely done 41 you see here took the looks of the car and
combined it with the perfect customizations to make it really stand
out in a crowd. It was very well built and has only built up 10,743
miles since completion. It is coated in a nice bright Green that
has a great finish and always turns heads. It is just enough to
grab peoples attention without being overbearing. With the car
being shaved of all of its trim and door handles it really has a
sleek look from front to rear. It looks awesome the way it is but
would make a great canvas should the new owner want to add their
choice of pinstriping, flames, scallops, etc. The perfect amount of
chrome was left in place with the front grill and headlights. Both
have a great shine and are in great condition. The electrical is
all working properly and with the Ron Francis wiring set up you
have no worries. All of the glass is in good shape with a dark tint
that adds a lot to the exterior look. It has a 2 piece windshield
in place which something every old hot rodder will be quick to
point out. With cars like this you will find small details
everywhere to show you how nicely it was really done. The attention
to detail and creating a great street rod is really not something
you see at every car show you go to. Small features like the
external side mirrors really set it apart. Where most would buy
billet mirrors off the shelf this car has custom painted to match
mirrors that look like they should have been on there from the
factory. They sit perfectly in place and were wired up to be remote
operated from the interior. The car has a very nice stance and
looks great going down the road. Peek under the rear of it and you
will be greeted with those wide Mickey Thompsons that everyone
loves! These are wrapped around custom Budnik wheels which are some
of the highest quality rims money can buy.
If you thought those Mickeys were just for show then you obviously
haven't check out under the hood! The car is powered down the road
by a fully polished out 502 V8 that easily cranks out 600+
horsepower. It utilizes a street performance fuel injection system
which not only adds to the performance but creates a very cool
look. And it also makes it so the big block motor is not a serious
gas hog. The car really gets pretty good gas mileage as long as you
keep your foot out of it. As mentioned before the motor has chrome
and polish everywhere you look. Virtually every single component is
finished out in this way from the valve covers to the polished
aluminum heads and pulleys along the serpentine belt system. The
car runs cool and has zero heating issues with an aluminum radiator
with electric fan and custom shroud. Power runs through the motor
into the Turbo 400 automatic transmission and then finally into the
rear end. The 12 bolt positrac rear end utilizes 3:73 gears and has
been narrowed to make room for the rear wheels. Power assisted
brakes are in place on all four corners with discs mounted up
front. It also has a power rack and pinion system which makes
driving extremely easy and enjoyable.
Checking out the interior you will see it is finished out in all
Tan leather that is extremely well done. The patterns were laid out
very well throughout the car and small features like the custom arm
rests make the difference. The bucket seats are very comfortable
and sit to each side of the custom center console. This console
houses the AM/FM/CD player with DVD player and power window
controls. A chrome Ididit tilt steering column is in place and is
topped with a Budnik steering wheel that is wrapped in matching
leather. The dash is finished out in a leather/painted combo that
looks great. It houses the billet AC vents as well as the green lit
Dakota Digital gauge set up. The trunk of the car is finished out
just as nicely as the rest and is where you will find the battery
mounted.
This awesome classic has a great look and shows extremely well. It
has no problem winning trophies and has been shown at Super Chevy
where it also won. People love street rods and more unique ones
like this always get a ton of attention.
