The body was pulled from the frame for a professional restoration.
Just over 1,000 miles since. It has a spunky 302 that makes those
side pipes roar. The bottom is exceptional compared to others-
independent front and rear suspension!
EXTERIOR: The body was recently taken apart and repainted
professionally. Beautiful smooth, glassy finish. The stripes are
painted on front to back, you don't feel them. Features include
wing windows, sun visors, bullet mirror, pop up gas cap, functional
roll bar and bumperettes. It has heat shields over the side pipes.
15 inch Weld aluminum wheels with Cooper Cobra tires, extra large
in back. Tires have a lot of tread on them.
INTERIOR: Clean dash with a matched set of white face gauges.
Original Shelby style steering wheel with aluminum spokes and wood
rim. The leather bucket seats have racing harnesses. Carpet looks
new. It has door pockets. There is a Hurst shifter and an
e-brake.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Performance built Ford 302 motor has an
Edelbrock aluminum intake with a big Summit Racing dual feed carb.
It has a set of custom made headers. Dressed up with a set of Cobra
finned valve covers and oval air cleaner. It features power
steering. The radiator has a big electric fan with an overflow
bottle and aluminum coolant pipes. The alternator is chrome, it has
a serpentine belt and pulley system. The bottom of the hood is
painted the same as the top of the hood with the white stripes. It
uses a gas strut to hold the hood open.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Bottom of the trunk lid is painted and striped
to match the top side. Battery is located in the trunk, the floor
is carpeted.
UNDERSIDE: The bottom of this Cobra looks fresh, everything is
proper and detailed. 4 inch round tube frame painted gloss black.
It has C-5 Corvette front and rear independent suspension. The
suspension looks new too- detailed, bushings and hardware look
fresh. It has 13 inch disc brakes at all four wheels. Fuel tank
looks new has custom braided fuel line and electric pump. Bottom of
the motor is clean, has mini high torque starter. T-5 5 speed trans
with hydraulic clutch. Has safety loop around the driveshaft.
If you have never owned a Cobra, you need too. Exhilarating! The
performance, open cock pit, rumble from the pipes all make for an
exciting ride.
