Vehicle Description
This 1969 Ford Fairlane 500 has a cool/classic look inside and out.
However, they did give it a few well-placed upgrades that make it a
more enjoyable driver's classic - especially with the extra power
from the V8.
This is from the era where car companies changed their designs
every coupe of years to make sure they were quite fresh. So you
only had a short time to get your hands on one of the most striking
hardtops around. The sixth-gen Fairlane really embodied the muscle
car era with its imposing wide front end, sporty kick-up in the
rear fender, and pillarless hardtop profile. It only gets getter
with GT trim the full-length rocker stripe and coordinating hood
stripe. And of course, we all love the look of a hood scoop. The
pale yellow paint has a hint of metallic to represent the era
nicely, and the color also making it easy to see this coupe's
details. Plus, the upgrade to 17-inch competition-style America
Racing Torq Thrust wheels give this a sporty look and the right
size to fit modern performance tires.
The green interior has a tone that harmonizes with the exterior,
and it's part of the 1960s-cool hues. But while this gives of a
vintage first impression, the feeling is far fresher. The seats
have a newer cover, and they are nicely detailed, right down to the
textured inserts and trim. There's also good-looking matching door
panels and newer carpeting. You get plenty of vintage vibes from
the interior, but the radio has been upgraded to an AM/FM/CD unit
with Bluetooth so you can always have your favorite driving music.
The dual-spoke steering wheel has that classic grippy feel you just
can't get anymore. Beyond that is the full round factory gauge
package. While you get the right factory readouts, it also has been
upgraded with a SunPro tach and a cool blue glow.
Under the hood is the bright blue presentation of proper Ford small
block power. This V8 has a tidy look and classic air grabber that
will make you want to show it off. But what you'll really enjoy is
driving this Fairlane. The motor inhales deeply with a Holley
four-barrel carburetor, and it exhales with added power as long
tube headers feed a stainless dual exhaust with Flowmasters. It's a
strong running package that will make you want to hit the road.
That's why it's also nice to have features like the three-speed
automatic transmission and a large aluminum radiator.
This is the cool hardtop that's made for driving. So if you like
