The bars are closed, but the roads are open.
Moving to a cold, snowy place and selling my beautiful 1972 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu.
Pump the pedal three times, and she roars to life, first time, every time. Car is in excellent condition, outside, inside and under the hood. Any time you take her for a ride, you'll have folks wanting to talk to you. Young guys telling you it's "clean as f***", ladies saying "that car is just beautiful" and anyone aged over 50 telling you it was always their "dream car as a kid". She's beautiful and she's a beast.
I grew up outside the U.S. and always had matchbox cars. I loved Corvettes, Pontiacs and Chevelles. When I came to the states and was in a position to live the dream, this was my choice. I have a young family, and so wanted something more than a 2 seater. With 5 seats and rear belts, you can actually secure a car seat. Mostly though, it was me alone on the open road, or taking my wife out on a date around Oakland or to Napa/Sonoma wineries. She's very, very cool, but also reliable enough it's no problem to take here out on longer drives.
Some details:
Recent work done includes fully rebuilt transmission, new starter, new distributor, new brake rotors, new park brake cable. Basically I wanted a classic car with as close to the reliability of a modern car as possible. I'm also not a "car guy", so I wanted it to start every time -- hence the new starter and distributor.
Other things of note: wipers and lights work well, heat/AC doesn't, nor does the radio. Club steering lock and brake lock included, as is Seal Skin cover... and a retro Chevelle framed ad poster. :)
It's a great car in fantastic condition with nothing to do. I'm not in a hurry to sell, so no need to low ball. Happy to talk to any serious buyer.
