Lovely 1979 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow II for sale. Purchased brand new at Superior Motors in Nashville, Tenessee. He owned this car until the end of his life when his daughter and son-in-law took possession here in California in 2004 with only 64,000 miles at the time. They have driven an average of just 550 miles per year. The car includes its original owner manual and a comprehensive set of records showing fastidious care taken since by Rolls Royce expert Michael Veys who is known for his outstanding work and incredibly detailed handwritten notes.
This Silver Shadow is a lovely driving car. It starts; runs quietly and smoothly and drives beautifully with excellent shifting, braking, and suspension. It is a wonderful driving car.
Inside the rare Surf Blue leather and rugs are in lovely condition along with the original, wool headliner. The door cap wood could use refinishing and possibly the facia panels but otherwise, the interior is very comfortable with the strong scent of Connelly leather and Wilton wool. The boot is complete with jack and a modern factory Rolls-Royce battery shut-off switch was installed since the car was used so sparingly. The air condition which has been converted to R134a is nice and cool. All accessories in the car are currently in working order.
The original Caribbean Blue paint has a shine though is thin, has imperfections, and best described as a "good 10-footer". The stainless trim, chrome, and glass still present well.
All in all, it is a nice Rolls-Royce with a very short owners list that has been well cared for mechanically and ready to enjoy now. The odometer recently ceased working though documentation will show that it happened after September of 2015 and currently shows 73,140.
