***SALE PENDING***Produced by what was the world's largest
automaker in the 1970s, General Motors entered into the motorhome
business with a striking set of designs using the G M C brand.
Featuring a unique front-wheel drive layout and the use of
aluminum, the G M C Class A motorhomes entered production for the
1973 model year. After about 13,000 examples built, the final G M C
motorhomes were produced in 1978. Following its production run, the
G M C motorhomes continue to enjoy a strong cult support. Retro GMC
motorhome, available for the first time in nearly 40 years from the
second owner! Purchased in IN in 1984, this coach has traveled back
and forth between WI and AZ throughout the years, traveling a total
of only 104k miles! Powered by the famous Olds 455 V8 and front
wheel drive transmission, these GMC motorhomes had a reputation for
being built much more ruggedly than a typical RV of the day, and
with their air suspension they provided a ride like no other. This
Eleganza II 260 has always been maintained well, including a
rebuilt transmission, newer tires with less than 3k miles, new
brakes, new fuel pump, new gas lines, rebuilt generator with 359
hours, new exhaust, and more. There are some needs that the new
owner will want to address, including the headliner, a house
battery, furnace ignitor, and a general "waking up" after not being
used for a few years. Excellent running and driving coach that will
need little to provide the next owner with many years of traveling
pleasure. Reasonable offers encouraged, financing available, we
sell worldwide!
