Vehicle Description
This 2013 E93 is draped in a glorious Melbourne Red paint, with the
front end and hood protected with PPF (paint protection film). The
previous owners of this M3 were fastidious in maintaining the car
to perfection and the interior appears as new. A key weakness of
the 414 hp S65 engine, is its meagre torque output, peaking at only
295 lb-ft at 3900 rpm. Letting our secret out of the bag early,
that key weakness has been eliminated. In place of the stock S65,
is a beautiful bored and stroked S65 by Steve Dinan at CarBahn,
with 4.6L of displacement making just under 520hp peak horsepower
at 7,700 rpm, and near 400 lb-ft of torque at 5,500 rpm. Warranteed
for 2 years, unlimited miles by CarBahn, this engine skips BMW rod
bearing worries and goes straight to Clevite-CarBahn racing rod
bearings for ultimate durability. Additionally, the engine has new
valve springs, a multi-layer steel head gasket, new hydraulic
lifters, timing chains, timing chain guides, timing chain
tensioners, VANOS units, oil cooler and engine mounts. A titanium
cat-back Akrapovic exhaust system was installed to reduce weight,
let the engine breathe, and improve the sound. Over $45,000 has
been spent on the modifications to build the perfect E92 M3. Having
Just completed a 1,500 mile run-in procedure on the engine, and a
fresh oil and filter change this E92 M3 is ready for its next
owner.
