Vehicle Description
2007 Ford Mustang GT Coupe
In 2007 the Supercharged 5.4-liter in the Shelby GT500 was rated
500 hp at 6000 rpm and 480 lb-ft of torque at 4500 rpm. It was the
quickest and most powerful Mustang ever and at the time, they were
all built at Ford's Flat Rock, Michigan, assembly plant.
Attention!!! Powerful car now in front of your eyes with this '07
Ford Mustang GT. This beauty pumps out over 500 horses, has a
supercharger from Roush Racing. Hold tight as it accelerates like a
Space-X rocket launching, and as you go through the 5-speed it just
gets better and better. A wild pony for sure tamed only by its
comfortable leather interior, touch screen sound system, Roush big
brake kit up front, and Eibach front suspension. You have been
warned, and after reading this description, it will self-destruct
within 10 seconds....wait for it...wait....! OH read first!
Exterior
For this flexing muscle Ford went all out for the design.
Reminiscent of the early models it just looks beefier, and more
refined on the line aspect. The front of the car is more "aero"
designed, and has an integrated body matching bumper, blackened
grille, and the ubiquitous galloping pony. Side steel panels are
very nice with well minded gaps, the front quarters have an "air
vent", and the door keeps the hockey stick cove Mustang is well
known for. On the B pillars which swoop downward are air intake
cowls, and on the back is a small spoiler. The duo of trio
taillights harkens back to the first model, and are now larger and
flattened, but still reminiscent of past generations. Dual exhaust
peek out of the lower bumper and black snowflake 19-inch Track Pack
Wheels are wrapped by nice rubber all around. These blackened
wheels are a beautiful contrast to the Satin Silver that bathes
this car all over.
Interior
Nice simple door panels utilize molded plastic vented vinyl and a
tasteful touch of thin trimming along with power window toggles,
power lock switches and some woofers and tweeters. Inside we can
see the blue glow from the dash on the beautiful high-backed
leather buckets with even higher headrests. You will need it as
when you smash the accelerator it will snap your head back and
press you firmly into these power seats. In back are 2 plus 2
buckets/bench and these are also very nice. A center console runs
through the buckets and houses a Hurst shifter. As it rises to the
dash center, a big screen shows all the audio options including
Bluetooth for the phone hookup, a CD player, USB, and Satellite
radio, all at the touch of the screen. On the black padded vinyl
topped dash and faux brushed aluminum dash front, are 2 large round
deep set gauges (again reminiscent of days of yore) with a central
huge cluster, all analog save for the digital odometer readouts. A
Roush boost gauge is in the dash, and on the drivers left, is an
AEM fuel mixture gauge. Also, on the top dead center of the dash
are a trio of additional gauges for fuel pressure, oil pressure and
water temp, which you'll want to monitor the monster under the
hood. Black carpet and a felt fuzzy headliner is tight and clean
above.
Drivetrain
Our consigner went all in for the mill which is in the
configuration of a 4.6 Liter V8. It has A Roush 2.3L Supercharger,
a Ford Racing Cobra Jet throttle body, and Ford Racing hot rod cams
in it. It is fed by EFI and runs with Hi-Test gas. On the back is a
Tremec 3650 5-speed manual transmission which throws power rearward
to a Ford TracLoc 8.8-inch 3.73 gear rear axle.
Undercarriage
Nary even any road dirt which means the 15,127 original miles have
been good to this car. All solid and clean, we see Independent
McPherson strut Eibach front suspension, and 3 link with pinhead
bar rear suspension which has adjustable shocks. Power disc brakes
all around with a Roush front Big Brake Kit added. From the
engine's Pypes headers to the SLP loudmouth exhaust with Magnaflow
resonators she looks just be-utee-ful!
Drive-Ability
Our muscle car crack decoder took this baby out to the track and he
had an absolute ball. I did not think he was going to return, but
alas he did and reported with a grin it performed great and is all
buttoned up on the drive-ability front. All working, and all
fast.
A 1 owner car who treated this car like a favorite toy, brought
out, played with, then carefully put away till next time. Low
miles, plenty of racing upgrades, and a very clean example. Great
sound from the mill, and the stereo, and good comfort inside in
that black leather. Drivetrain reads like a who's who of racing
embellishments, and it's all looking great in satin silver with
black corners. A photo op if there ever was one.
