This is a magnificent condition 1979 Mercedes Benz 280CE finished in Yellow with Brown MB-tex interior. Low mileage for its age, this W123 coupe is simply stunning in all respects. It is without doubt a 9-out-of-10 driver car overall and could also be proudly taken to shows as-is. This is a super original car with all original body and interior. The car was an Lexington, KY car its whole life in quite amazing condition. I am the second owner and have this car more than three years in Glendale Ca. The underside is incredibly clean and all factory original. The body and paint are original. there is very minor rust spot 1inch by 2inch, on passenger side, rear fender(see the detail picture). The rest of the paint is entirely consistent and maintains its full luster. New Euro style headlights are installed and the factory originals coming with the car. The Nardin steering wheel was exist when I got the car and the factory original is available and also coming with the car. The interior is equally amazing and its in very good condition. The dash is also excellent with no cracks. The wood shows some minor, unnoticable discoloration and lacker crocks. Seats, head-liner, rear parcel shelf, door panels, arm-rests, console, and carpets are in excellent shape. The rear window has some hazing in the bottom portion which is not distracting the rear wiew.
The body is straight and mechanically sounds good. Engine is running as it should with lots of power. Miles are Original.
in 2020 I replace brake pads, water pump, air emission pump, rear portion of the exhoust, tires, fuel filters and some other small parts which you can find in paperwork.
The car has extensive service records from previous owner and I have all papers what was done by me. i
The car was a winner of the Concourse D' Elegance in late 90s in Menifee Kentucky and has some other car show prizes in different years.
The owners manual, three factory original keys, factory tools, original spare tire are complete and in tact.
The car runs and drives very smooth, not burning the oil, no smoke comes from tale pipes.
