1966 Pontiac GTO Convertible, Born at the Freemont CA plant on 5/27/66 and sold at Bill Barry Pontiac in Santa Anna CA, this GTO spent many years in CA and 25 years with the second owner prior to my purchase six years ago. The car wears its original "Tripple Gold" colors it was born with along with all its original sheet metal and glass. The car has never been rusted.
All work listed below has been done in the last five years by professionals. 461 Stroker Motor, Ram Air III style cam, Edelbrock intake and carb 6X Heads, TCI 3 Speed Auto Trans, 3:55 Eaton Rear Gears, Cold Case Aluminum Radiator, Hotchkis Springs and KYB Shocks, Front end rebuilt last year with new brakes all around, Eastwood XMatt Sound Deadener, Foose Knuckles 17" wheels w/Nitto Tires. All mechanics described above are no less than five years old with very little road time. I have all receipts.
Older repaint shows very well with minor imperfections. See pics. Brightwork is very nice. All powertrain mechanicals run perfect. Overall the car shows very well and is a lot of fun to drive. It was built to be very streetable with a bunch of horsepower on pump gas. Motor will usually chirp tires in all three gears. There's so much more to this car that Id love to share wiht a prospective buyer. Its been a great ride but time to move on. Clean IL title in my name.
