Vehicle Description
Pontiac's general manager John Z. DeLorean ordered the development
of an all-new Grand Prix for the 1969 model year. It featured
dramatic bodywork and a highly pronounced grill, and rode on a
slightly stretched version of the intermediate GM A platform dubbed
the G-Body.
This 1969 Pontiac Grand Prix is in very good condition. This 2-door
hardtop is the first year of the new Grand Prix second generation
model. This Pontiac's dramatic body work, especially the highly
pronounced grille shows very well against the Antique Gold metallic
paint. The 400ci V-8 motor is numbers matching and runs very well
producing 350hp as designated from the factory. The TH400 3-speed
automatic transmission shifts well with no issues. The 10-bolt rear
end delivers the power smoothly to the Rally II wheels.
Recently repainted, the original color Gold body is in great shape
with only one noticeable scratch on the rear driver's side lower
fender (seen in close up picture). This car came with the standard
Grand Prix trim or "J" designation. The engine bay is clean
exposing the 400 cubic inch motor and the 4-barrel Quadrajet
carburetor. The interior is in good condition with newer carpeting
and headliner. The upholstery shows very well with only the outside
hip bolster of the driver's seat showing some wear. The odometer is
not currently working but believed to be fairly accurate to the
current miles. This Pontiac Grand Prix is in very good overall
condition and an affordable way to own an American Muscle Car.
