When automotive companies allow their design and engineering teams
to have an open checkbook and utilize the history and knowledge at
their discretion, it is simply AWESOME! Unfortunately, very rarely
does this happen because the accountants get involved and shut the
project down to curtail costs and skimp on what the consumers
really want. Well in 2002 Subaru unleashed their highly skilled
Tecnica department team to create the WRX for the North American
market. This was met with huge accolades by the Subaru enthusiast
and any rally minded person. Two years later the STi was launched
and provided a larger 2.5L engine, six speed manual, limited slip
differential, larger Brembo brakes, BBS wheels, and the iconic rear
spoiler.
We are very pleased to offer this unmolested 2005 Subaru WRX STi
that has been extremely well cared for its entire life and has been
spared the abuse by young drivers or the bolt on modifications by
the tuners. We agree that it's not 100% stock, but the few slight
mods are very tasteful and appropriate for any WRX STi. Only 7,747
of these cars will produced in 2005 and just 549 of them were
optioned with the Aspen White paint with factory Gold BBS
wheels.
Vehicle was sold new out of Dwyer & Sons Subaru in Commerce
Township Michigan and remained in the original owners name for
14.5yrs, exchanging a few hands the past year and half before we
obtained the car locally. The previous owner added the GrimmSpeed
oil separator which is highly encouraged by all Subaru fans. The
Typhoon air intake with K&N air filter was added by the 2nd
owner along with the Invidia high performance catback exhaust
system. This system generates more power a nice sound and can
easily be swapped back to the exhaust setup that comes with the
car. Vehicle also has a PSi3 Automated Tech Advanced ECU monitor,
3M clear bra on front hood, and Rally Armor stone guards. Factory
options when new were; Popular Equipment Group 2B (auto dimming
mirrors, compass, security system upgrade kit) and the Performance
Group 2B (titanium shift knob, turbo boost gauge, and short throw
shifter).
Vehicle was serviced and maintained properly with routine oil
changes and service. Recent airbag recall was done along with
timing belt and A/C belt replaced at the Subaru dealer here in
Grand Rapids MI just 9 months ago. New throttle body and gaskets
replaced in November of 2019 at a Subaru dealer in Grand Blanc
MI.
This vehicle is a blast to drive, all features are working properly
and the fun factor and collectability of this car is only going up
each month. Vehicle comes with service records, all owners' manual,
both factory keys and remotes and valet key, wheel lock, original
MSRP ($34,113), and clean title and CarFax.
