Award Winning 1964.5 / 1965 Mustang Convertible Concours Restored -
Southern California Car Mustang aficionados and classic car
collectors lovingly refer to the earliest 1965 Mustangs
(manufactured August 17, 1964 or earlier) as 1964 � models since
there were several changes made to the later cars. This beautiful
restored Mustang in the listing was manufactured on May 2, 1964 and
still retains the original/unique 1964 � rarities that it was built
with by Ford. The data plate affixed to the car confirms the May 2,
1964 production date, Rangoon Red paint with Red interior,
automatic transmission and Los Angeles as the DSO. This expertly
restored "California Black License Plate" Mustang Convertible was
first purchased in Los Angeles back in 1964 and according to the
Title documents it has been a California car its entire life... An
extensive, multi year, nut & bolt concours rotisserie restoration
of a clean rust-free Mustang using mostly original (non
reproduction) parts was completed in 2008. Soon after, this freshly
restored pony went on to win 1st Place for its year/class in the
2009 Western United States National Mustang Show hosted by the
Mustang Owner's Club of California. Being one of the finest 1964 �
Mustangs, this concours restored Convertible Pony was prominently
featured indoor at Ford's Huge 50th Anniversary Celebration for the
Mustang at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway in 2014. This Award Winning
