Vehicle Description
1982 Chevrolet Corvette You are looking at a unicorn in the
Corvette world, especially for the late C3 generation. This is a
very rare color combination of Silver Green exterior with Silver
Green leather. Weirdly optioned with Radio Delete but also has the
radio accommodation package. Best figures I have found are 723
Silver Green painted Corvettes left the Bowling Green KY factory
and somewhere around 250 were equipped with Silver Green leather
interior. Add in the factory radio delete, this is likely a 1 of 1.
No matter what the numbers are this is an unusual and beautiful
Corvette. Additionally, this Corvette has led a very cherished life
in a climate controlled garage along with multiple NCRS Top Flight
awards with judging sheets showing an amazing 97.2% on a Regional
NCRS event ( very difficult to accomplish that high of a percentage
in a Regional event) and a 98.3% in another Regional event. It has
been asked to enter a National and Bow tie event but I've never
found the time to do that. An NCRS event is an extremely detailed
and thorough inspection of the vehicle. 5 teams of Judges go
through every inch of the car confirming the originality and
numbers of each and every part including condition. The only
deductions are for wear and tear as they are judged as if they are
on Day 1 dealer delivery. Obviously with an unrestored vehicle
there are some things that just cannot be helped with an original
38 year old vehicle no matter how well preserved. However, they are
only original once! I have a 4" binder of documentation including
original window sticker, build sheet, GM documentation, ownership
papers, parts replaced, etc. The documentation on this vehicle is
broad and complete as much as it can possibly be. They don't get
any better documented for originality, correctness and condition as
a multiple NCRS Top Flight Corvette. This car is an absolute
pleasure to own and drive and stunning in person. I've owned this
vehicle for a long time.
