For Sale: 1988 Ford Mustang in Cadillac, Michigan

1988 Ford Mustang LX Convertible RARE and super clean time capsule, survivor 1988 Ford Mustang ASC McLaren Convertible. #861/1015. Only 42,844 original miles. This is a 2 owner car with perfect Carfax and Autocheck reports/scores. The original owner bought the car from Damerow Beaverton Ford in Ohio in the spring of 1990. He took it home to Oregon and it lived there until about 2016 when it was traded in at a dealer and the second owner purchased it. I spoke with the head of the ASC McLaren Registry and he said it is one of 6.8% made with this color combo and is probably one of just a few with this color combo and a 5 speed manual transmission. The radar detector, CB radio and CD player were additional options from McLaren and adds to the late '80's nostalgia. As far as I know all of the regular power options are in full working order including the power lumbar! I have not tried the CB radio or radar detector. The car had only had about 400 miles put on it in the last 16 years so to make it reliable, some maintenance was recently performed. This includes: New Toyo tires, new battery, oil change and the A/C converted to R134a and recharged. It runs and drives great! As far as things it needs, e eventually the top will need some of the stitching redone around the plastic windows.
