1961 Studebaker Lark Convertible Are there any Studebaker fans
ready for some 'Fun in the Sun?' a rare survivor from the early
1960's - a 1961 Studebaker Lark Convertible in Flamingo color
(that's what Studebaker called the color). This Studebaker is a
TURN KEY/DRIVE ANYWHERE car! According to Studebaker historians,
less than 2000 Studebaker convertibles were produced in 1961. I
have driven this car from Pennsylvania to South Bend, Indiana, and
back with no issues! (over 1200 mile trip). STRONG POINTS 1.
Strong-running, dependable driver 2. Licensed, insured,and driven
3. Rebuilt Studebaker Skybolt Six 112 h.p. engine - 1961 was the
first year for this engine. 4. Transmission was resealed and
performs fine 5. Brakes rebuilt 6. Engine tuned up 7. Steel-belted
radial tires have under 2000 miles on them. 8. Working lights,
turn-signals, wipers, and heater 9. Convertible Top is in good
condition 10. Convertible Top mechanism works fine 11. Excellent
chrome and brightwork 12. Working Studebaker AM radio 13. Clean
Pennsylvania title. 14. Car presents very well! 15. Solid
undercarriage 16. Manual brakes and manual steering work well! 17.
Mileage - 57,193 appears correct but cannot be verified. 18. STRONG
club support! The Studebakers Drivers' Club is a 'top-notch'
organization!!! 19. Original convertible top 'Boot' included WEAK
POINTS 1. This is an original 6 cylinder (112 h.p.) car; it is NOT
a V-8. This car was NEVER intended to be driven down the
Interstates at 90 mph or to impress friends by 'laying rubber' on
the street! Buy another vehicle if that is where your pleasure is!
2. Rear passenger side back window must be raised and ed manually.
Parts to repair it available from Studebaker International in
Indiana. 3. There are scuffs, blemishes, and a few rust bubbles in
the paint - see photos.
