Vehicle Description
1951 Armstrong-Siddeley Lancaster Saloon. Having long sweeping
wings and elegance of a true classic piece of British history. Even
her colors are descriptive. She is Claret over Cream. She sounds
like a masterpiece, a work of art. Following the Second World War
Armstrong-Siddeley introduced all new models, they were the first
postwar all new British cars, having independent front suspension,
preselector gearbox and advanced body design. The 3 new models were
anounced and named after famous wartime aircraft built by the
company, the Hurricane, Lancaster and Typhoon. The cars were
upgraded in 1949 with the introduction of the improved 2.3 litre 6
cylinder model. This piece of British motoring history is one of
only 3,597 ever produced (that includes the lesser engine 1991cc
model) which were made from 1945-1953 in Coventry, England. The
Lancaster can best be described as a proper four-door, six-light
luxury British thoroughbred, combining the best of tradition with
the finest of her time. -Vehicle is on consignment and at our
