You're meeting this 2008 Ford Mustang GT Bullitt edition at its
crossroads. This coupe is from the year that Ford brought back one
of its most iconic tribute cars for the 40th anniversary. This one
is quite stock, and the mileage is so low that there are still
factory stickers on the suspension. So do you collect this rarity,
take it out to eat the streets, or with such an affordable price,
do you want to do both?
The Bullitt edition Mustangs were all about attitude. We all know
the movie car was green, but Ford also offered it in black. It's
the color the bad guys had (and that's really the attitude we
wanted to see from McQueen anyway, right?) Today the factory
original paint is complete and the condition is commensurate with
the car's age. There was also a clear protection film applied to
the front for added preservation. This special edition Mustang is a
clean and sleek machine, just like the one Steve McQueen used to
run down the bad guys all over the hills of San Francisco. So it's
all about emphasizing the smooth lines of the retro pony car. In
fact, the only badging you'll even find is on the rear cap. It
really is a proper tribute to the ultimate hero car, right down to
the dark alloys to mimic McQueen's competition-style Torq Thrust
units. It's all how Ford did it from the factory, making sure they
paid proper tribute to this GT on the film's 40th anniversary.
And while the car is so aggressively dark outside, it only gets
more aggressive with the full black interior. But as you sit down
in the power adjusting leather bucket seat, you also notice plenty
of bright upgrades over the standard Mustang GT. The machine turned
panels that flow across the dash are great exclusive pieces to get
your blood pumping, and the Bullitt center cap on the horn reminds
you this is a special Mustang. There's even a special aluminum
shift knob. This one is loaded with features such as power windows,
power locks, keyless entry/alarm, dual airbags, side airbags, tilt
wheel, ABS, cruise control, and a premium Shaker AM/FM/CD stereo.
And because the air conditioning can keep you nice and cold, feel
free to put on a McQueen-style turtle neck any time of year.
Under the hood is the numbers-matching 4.6-liter V8. This 24-valve
fuel-injected powerhouse was already a modern legend, but Ford made
sure the Bullitt car was extra special. They gave this Ford
Racing's Power Upgrade Package, including a cold air intake. So
this pony was rated at 315 hp right out of the stable. And they
didn't stop there. They upgraded the suspension with stiffer
shocks, springs, Bullitt-specific front brake pads, and a 3.73 rear
end. There's even a strut tower brace that also includes a plaque
for your specially numbered car in this rare series. You fully
control the V8 and its muscular soundtrack with the five-speed
manual transmission. Add in power steering, four-wheel power disc
brakes, and sticky BF Goodrich gForce tires, and now you've got a
truly special package that's a blast to drive.
Complete with owner's manual, this is a desirable collector coupe
that has averaged less than 1,250 miles annually. So at a price
like this, you know this is an irresistible deal. Call today!!!
