This 1980 Chevrolet Corvette does it all the right way. More than
just an affordable price, you get the late C3 clean design with a
head-turning boldness on the outside, a custom interior, overdrive
transmission, and serious power from a stroker V8.
Most late-C3 Corvettes have a subtle color theme that was popular
in this era, but this one has gone in a very different direction.
This coupe is bold with a bright yellow paint. You can tell someone
made a nice investment here by the depth of the gloss and shine.
But what really makes the whole presentation "pop" are all the
blacked-out touches that run from head to tail. This includes the
grilles, side scoops, sills, full window trim and roof. Plus, the
blacked-out Rally wheel package does a cool job of announcing this
is a true classic with something different to offer. In fact,
speaking of something different, this one doesn't have
T-tops...instead It has a custom targa top, just like the later
Corvette models.
One of the reasons to fully remove the roof is because it's great
to show off the full custom interior. The black leather seats with
yellow inserts have quite a striking look that also coordinates
with the exterior. Plus, it's nicely detailed with contrast
stitching and matching door panels. And this also introduces a
Chevy bow tie in a bold red embroidery that continues on the seat
belts, steering wheel, and floor mats. In fact, all this red was
done on purpose, because it also coordinates with the digital gauge
upgrade. It all makes for a vivid and stylish full package. More
than just memorable, you'll like the interior because it's loaded
with features. This includes power windows, power locks, a tilt
steering column, cup holders, and provisions for factory air
conditioning (will need a full servicing.) There's even a
retro-style AM/FM radio that connects to upgraded speakers with a
custom twin 10-inch subwoofer enclosure.
One look under the hood, and you can instantly see there was a nice
investment in polish and performance. Not only is this 383
cubic-inch stroker motor larger than anything you could have had in
1980, but also this has plenty of go-fast goodies. It includes a
Holley double-pumper four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock Performer
aluminum intake, and ceramic coated headers. Plus, its supported by
the right components, like an HEI distributor, steel braided
coolant hoses, and an aluminum radiator w/electric fans. This was
also upgraded to a 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission, which
is both stout enough to handle the power and also offers easy
overdrive cruising. The fully independent sports suspension, power
steering, and four-wheel power disc brake package make for an
all-around nice sports car experience.
This is a strong-running and bold-looking custom Corvette. So if
you love power and distinction, don't let this well-priced C3 slip
away. Call today!!!
