Vehicle Description
This 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 427 is quite special. It's a
real-deal Super Sport with all the features you want in a muscle
car like, upgraded big block power and four-on-the-floor. Plus,
there's a fit and finish that remind you that something this
intimidating can also be quite beautiful.
The '67s have always looked particularly fast with their flying
buttresses and beefy fender lines. But now this example also loves
to show off added style. For example, it was born an Ermine White
coupe, but it was upgraded to Pearl White. This gives you the
appeal of a timeless color, but with a far more radiant look in the
sunshine. There was also more invested to make sure the vintage
details were looking their best. That means terrific shine on all
the brightwork, including the mirror-like chrome bumpers, Super
Sport vented faux hood, ribbed rockers, and the trim that outlines
every inch of glass. The dark grille and blackout rear panel are
mean and correct reminders this is a true SS. And the upgrade to
competition-style American Racing Torq Thrust wheels are a hint at
this Chevelle's upgraded power.
We love the look of a red interior because it radiates out from the
exterior paint like it's the beating heart of this SS. The seats,
carpeting, headliner, and doors shows there was time and money
spent to make sure this looks classic and fresh. This has a great
vintage vibe down to the details - everywhere from the trim on the
seatbacks, to the AM radio that's still there for display. Because
this is a true driver's classic they did give you some
well-integrated upgrades. You have a grippy wood-rimmed steering
wheel, there's a crisp SunPro tach mounted in the correct factory
place, and that goes quite nicely with Hurst floor shifter.
Filling the engine bay is big block Chevy power. You'll love how
the bold block, shining valve covers, and bright air topper look
like they are radiating power from within the dark engine bay. You
may have noticed the callouts on the exterior and air grabber. They
announce that this factory SS396 actually has a LARGER 427
cubic-inch V8. This is a magic displacement for Chevy fans. It
inhales deeply with a Rochester four-barrel carburetor, and the
headers add power while giving a sweet tune to the H-pipe dual
exhaust w/Flowmasters. And you have complete control over this
enhanced big block and its muscle car soundtrack thanks to the
four-speed manual transmission. It has also been fitted with a
12-bolt rear so you know it can handle the power. As you look
underneath the car, you'll spot nice features like a thick front
sway bar and boxed trailing arms in the rear. Plus, power steering,
power brakes w/discs up front, and the grip of modern ZR-rated
tries are always welcomed driving features.
