German performance two-seater with some extra enhancements?
MotoeXotica Classic Cars is pleased to present this one-of-a-kind
Wide Body Benz convertible. This AMG was made at M-B?s Bremen,
Germany factory in November 2004 and has been upgraded with a
professionally installed full Aero Function AF Signature 2 Series
12 piece Conversion Wide Body Kit with carbon fiber hood. For the
perfect stance with the wide body, new custom-tailored, three-piece
GFG wheels were specifically built for the car! The car?s Silver
Pewter exterior (code 723) is in excellent shape and is accented
with a carbon fiber hood and custom-tailored, three-piece GFG
wheels specifically built to the car. The Aero Function AF
Signature 2 Series Wide Body kit was professionally installed,
complete with vented Carbon Fiber hood and rear spoiler. The car?s
lights and glass look great, the bodywork is straight and solid
while the engine bay is extremely tidy. The battery appears new
while the body-color bumpers match the condition of the rest of the
body. There?s also a power-retractable hardtop with a retractable
rollbar rollover protection system. This Benz rolls on massive
Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires, size 295/25ZR20 in front and
335/20ZR20 in back. Each tire is mounted on a new, custom one off
black GFG three-piece Hura Wheels. The tires and wheels are all in
very good order and make this AMG look sinister! Under the carbon
fiber hood is a 500+ HP 5.4L Kompressor (supercharged) SOHC,
24-valve V-8 engine with twin intercoolers (code M113K). The
previous owner stated that it produced 510 HP to the rear wheels
with a ecu flash. It has mid-length headers, an 80mm crank pulley,
an auxiliary electric water pump, custom heat exchanger, dual
electric cut-outs for its custom three-inch exhaust pipes. It is
mated to an AMG Speedshift five-speed automatic transmission.
Driver convenience features include electronic climate control;
power rack-and-pinion steering; power four-wheel disc brakes;
cruise control; keyless entry; power windows; power locks; power
sideview mirrors; power seats with heat and memory features;
electronic driver-adjustable suspension and ride control;
rain-sensing windshield wipers; tilt/telescopic steering column;
heated sideview mirrors; steering wheel-mounted stereo controls;
and more. Safety equipment includes dual front airbags, side
airbags, knee airbags, four-wheel anti-lock brakes, daytime running
lights, anti-theft system, stability control, traction control and
auto-dimming rearview and sideview mirrors. Inside is a new custom
interior with dark brown bur walnut trim. The black bucket seats
with custom-quilted square stitching look great. The contrasting
gray carpet and headliner are in excellent condition. A four-spoke,
leather and heated steering wheel faces the driver. The instrument
panel with a full array of gauges and the inner door panels are all
in excellent condition. Between the seats is a center console with
a storage-cooled compartment. A factory Bose AM/FM stereo with
remote six-CD changer and remote control rounds out the interior.
The M113 5.4 Kompressor is a supercharged and twin-intercooled
version of the 5.4 L M113. It is commonly referred to as ?M113K? -
where ?K? stands for Kompressor (supercharger). Many Mercedes-AMG
enthusiasts consider the M113K was the last of the great Kompressor
engines used by Mercedes-AMG excluding the Mercedes SLR McLaren.
Mercedes-AMG replaced this model with their new 6.2L naturally
aspirated V-8, making the transition from 55 AMG to the 63 AMG.
Although the new 6.2L M156 AMG motor produced greater peak
horsepower, many enthusiasts were disappointed by the lack of
torque present in the new non-aspirated design. Competition to this
AMG Mercedes-Benz in 2005 included Aston Martin DB9 Volant?,
Bentley?s Arnage Drophead Coupe, BMW?s M8 Convertible, Ferrari?s
F430 Spider F1 and Porsche?s Turbo S Cabrio with Tiptronic. If you
had one of these cars when they were new and you?re eager for a
second helping with something a little more aggressive, then stop
by MotoeXotica Classic Cars today to check out this wide body AMG
