GR Auto Gallery is pleased to offer this very unique 1961 Bently S2
Standard Saloon for your consideration. This elegant vehicle is
powered by a smooth 6.2L Bently produced V8 motor which is paired
with an automatic transmission. Bently advertised their 6.2L motor
by saying "The cylinder block and heads are cast in aluminum alloy
and hydraulic tappets operate the overhead valves. The engine has a
compression ratio of 8 to 1 and is fitted with twin carburetors
with automatic choke."
The exterior is finished in two shades of silver making for a very
luxurious looking automobile especially when the exterior chrome
and red pinstriping is taken into consideration. Inside this
opulent Bentley is like being inside your own palace. The leather
seats are so soft to the touch, and the real wood trim throughout
the interior is in great condition. Interior and exterior styling
like this is not found on modern cars, thus making this a very
unique automobile.
The Bently S2 was at the time one of the most luxurious and
expensive cars you could buy. It came in standard versions like the
one offered here, but it also was offered in a convertible variant
that was produced by various different coachbuilders. Bentley
remains one of the best most respected automobile brands when it
comes to high luxury and now is your chance to own a classic piece
of their history.
