1970 BUICK GS 455 CONVERTIBLE T-1312 -Body Style: Convertible

Description: M-21 close ratio, the vehicle VIN code is stamped in
the transmission case to validate that the car is the original 4
speed model. Center Force Dual Friction clutch. -Drivetrain: GM 12
Bolt, Open differential, 2.73 gears for freeway cruising, Original
gear was a 3.61. -Engine cylinders: 8 -Engine size: 455 (engine is
a date code correct 455 originally out of a Riviera as the original
engine was blown in the 70's) -Engine Aspiration: Edelbrock B4B
manifold with the correct carb location for the ram air hood.
Original Quadrajet carburetor. -Engine description: 455 cid Buick.
Engine was completely blueprinted in 2001 and has approx. 15,000
miles since build. Engine is 0.030 inches overbore, Stage 1 valves
with pocket porting, mild Crane camshaft. Crane Electronic ignition
conversion which is undetectable from the exterior. The cylinder
block has all Stage 1 oiling system upgrades, as well as a NOS
front cover and high-volume oil pump. The compression ratio is 8 to
1 to be able to run on regular fuel. The engine dyno'ed at 330 hp
and 490 lb/ft of torque with the complete in-vehicle exhaust
system. Complete custom Flowmaster 2 � dual exhaust with Hushpower
resonators at rear of vehicle for a great tone. Exterior Color
Description: Bamboo Cream, Car was externally restored in 1995 and
has been garage kept ever since. Interior Color Description: Ivory
Interior Fabric: Factory Vinyl, all correct patterns. Interior was
restored in 2000. Description/Notes: The car is a very well-kept
driver which is in outstanding condition. It's been throughout the
So. Cal. car show events with many first-place wins. Owner used the
vehicle twice on the Hot Rod Power Tour in conjunction with
Flowmaster Muffler (the Co-title sponsor). The braking system has
been upgraded with Baer 4-wheel disc brakes. The car was used as
the development vehicle by Baer for this brake system to fit 12
inch disc brakes behind the factory 5 spoke chrome steel wheels.
The suspension is upgraded with Hotchkiss front and rear springs,
front and rear sway bars, and rear control arms. None of these
changes modified the vehicle and could be returned to stock if
someone wished to do so. Finally, in 1970 Buick produced 1,184 GS
455 Convertibles, and of those, only 126 were equipped with a 4-
speed transmission making it a very desirable vehicle. (All
