Vehicle Description
This 1955 Ford Fairlane Sunliner represents a classic cool cruising
convertible with extra V8 power and more thoughtful upgrades. So as
you look over this well-coordinated two-tone drop-top, you'll see
it really has exactly what you want.
This one is a true 1950s cruiser. After all, only then were the
stylists daring enough to create a full-length bright trim line
with a beautiful dipping design in the doors. This stunning
standout is not only distinctive, but also it provides a dividing
line for the turquoise and white. In fact, this convertible is all
about distinctive brightwork, like the full-width grille,
factory-style wheel covers, jet-inspired taillights, and curvy
wraparound bumpers. So it's really great to see someone take the
time to make sure it's all ready for primetime. But more than just
the factory's work, this one makes sure to really upgrade the
classic cruiser look. That's why there's chrome half covers for the
headlights, and everyone loves the look of a continental kit on a
Fabulous Fifties Ford.
The white convertible top looks great against the paint, and if you
like that level of coordination, then you're going to love taking
the roof down. The interior is a full two-tone presentation that
goes with the exterior two-tone. The dash, door panels, convertible
boot, and even the spare tire cover follow this theme. But our
favorite part are the seats. They are a nice white with contrasting
turquoise piping and turquoise tuck and roll style inserts. It's a
true classic driving experience with the artful factory wheel and
the retro-cool plexiglass speedometer. But there are also the right
driving upgrades. There's an AM/FM/CD stereo w/Bluetooth tucked
away in the glovebox to give you the best in driving music. And an
AutoMeter tach was integrated into the dash, which signals the
upgrade under the hood.
While there were some nice V8s around during the Sunliner's time,
this one has a true upgrade to Ford's legendary 302 cubic-inch
motor. And it has the kind of tidy presentation that makes it easy
to show off at the car shows. Plus, this has been given a full
Edelbrock upgrade with an Edelbrock air cleaner, matching Edelbrock
valve covers, an Edelbrock Performer 289 intake, and topped with an
Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor. There are also nice supporting
components, like steel braided hoses and an MSD coil. If this motor
sounds like a great cruising package, then you'll also appreciate
the easy driving features, like power steering, an 4 speed
automatic overdrive transmission, and dual circuit power brakes
with discs up front.
Complete with owner's manual, this is a well-coordinated and
nicely-upgraded rolling nostalgia. It's a great total vintage
package, and it can all be yours if you call today!
